On 3rd December 2021, a train bound for the Lao capital Vientiane left Kunming in southwest China after the China-Laos Railway was put into operation. At the same time, a train departed a new Vientiane station for its maiden journey to China.

Laos is a country in Southeast Asia, bounded to the north by China, to the northeast and east by Vietnam, to the south by Cambodia, to the west by Thailand, and to the northwest by Myanmar (Burma). It covers around 236,800 square kilometers with a population of over 7 million. The Mekong River is a major trade route between western China and Southeast Asia, along where Eastern and Western cultures meet and intertwine.
We believe that Laos, with its unique charm and geographical advantages, will attract more attention from the world and chart its course towards accelerated and sustainable development.
International cooperation - the key to prosperity
On 30th January 2022, our joint venture company - Sinotrans-PLG Laos Logistics Co., Ltd. held its opening ceremony in Vientiane, Laos, marking another solid step forward in Laos and the international logistics market.
On this auspicious occasion, which also coincides with the Chinese New Year celebration, please allow us to express our sincere gratitude and deep blessings to all of you. We wish you all the best of luck this new year!
The establishment of Sinotrans-PLG Laos Logistics Co., Ltd. is an important milestone of PLG's development. It will foster collaboration and leverage the shared experiences and resources across all partners to achieve maximum operational efficiency and effectiveness.
In the new year, PLG will play a part in deepening the business cooperation between China, Singapore and Laos in the logistics industry. We will work closely, hand in hand with our joint venture partners to tap onto the opportunities provided by the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) to accelerate the development of international trade in Laos, and continue to provide excellent services to our business partners.
As we celebrate this new chapter, we are confident that this new international collaboration will play a pivotal role in bringing regional supply chains closer together, building a resilient and unified network of supply chain partners.
